Has anyone used these little devices. They use some kind of element
controlled by a microprocessor to "puff" a small "Wisp" of smoke. The
"wisp" comes from a small container of scented oil that attatches to
the unit underthe element. Question is does anyone know what kinda of
scented oil if indeed it is scented oil that is in that small
container. After mine was empty I drilled a 1/16" hole in the top of
the container and refilled it with some scented oil I got at wal-mart.
It hardly functions with that scented oil in it. I even tried to fill
it with some liquid potpourri, and that not work very well either.
Any ideas?

To be honest, I would throw it out!

I like to have air fresheners like this in several rooms of our home
and have tried many brands. I was using Glade Plugins and then decided
to buy two Wisp units and give them a shot.

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!

In comparison, while we could see a puff of something when we first
started them, you could barely smell any scent at all. I have them
setup prefectly in our kitchen and one bathroom and you can not smell
anything but a VERY faint scent! Actually, the one in the bathroom has
no scent at all even though it continues to "puff".

I wish I had kept the receipts on these things because I would sent
them back to Glade for a refund. I have never used a air freshener
that was as useless as this.

I can say that I bought two Glade Scented Oil Fan units recently to
replace the useless wisp units I bought and they are TERRIFIC! The
room fills with fragrance within 15 minutes and stays that way. In
fact, my kitchen one is scenting two-three rooms on our first floor!

So, I would throw out the wisp units and buy scented oil fans instead.
I wouldn't be shocked if Glade discontinued Wisp sooner or later. For
us, it didn't do a thing.

I have to disagree with you on this. I think they are great and they
do a great job of filling a large room with fragrance. I have now
been able to refill the container with the scent I want and get it to
continue freshining the air. I finally decided just to pop the top
off and refill it that way instead of drilling the little hole in the
top. It may be a small chore to do this, but I am cheap and spending
less money if you can get it to do the same thing is always better
